# Accessibility Statement

**Last Updated: June 18, 2026**

MovieTQ ("Movie Trailer Quiz"), operated by **Caellum LLC**, is committed to making our website usable by as many
people as possible, including players who rely on assistive technologies. We treat accessibility as an ongoing,
good-faith effort rather than a one-time task.

---

## Our target

We aim for **substantial, good-faith conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA**
across the parts of the Service that are not inherently time- or audio-based. We do not claim full or perfect
conformance, and some areas remain a work in progress.

---

## Known limitations

MovieTQ is a real-time, audio-visual game, and a few of its core mechanics create accessibility challenges we are
still working through honestly:

- **Trailer audio and timing.** Gameplay centers on identifying movies from short trailer clips under a time limit.
Trailers begin **muted by default**, and you control playback/volume; however, the competitive round timer is an
essential part of the game, so it is not adjustable during a match (consistent with WCAG's exception for real-time,
  competitive activities).
- **Captions vs. the puzzle.** Because the goal is to *guess* the movie, full spoken-dialogue captions on a trailer
could reveal the answer. We are evaluating accessible alternatives that preserve the game.
- **Third-party video.** Trailers are embedded from YouTube; the embedded player's accessibility is provided by
YouTube/Google and is outside our direct control.
- **Photosensitivity.** Trailer footage comes from many sources and may contain flashing or strobing imagery we do
not control. If you are sensitive to flashing lights, please take appropriate caution.

## Report a barrier — we want to hear from you

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on MovieTQ, or need content provided in a different way, please contact us
and we will make reasonable efforts to address it:

**Email:** `legal@movietq.com`

When you contact us, it helps to include the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the assistive
technology or browser you were using.

## Ongoing improvement

We periodically review and improve the accessibility of the Service. This statement will be updated as those
improvements are made. *This statement reflects our current good-faith efforts and is not a warranty of conformance.*
